Why our team comes from studio work
We built whisperra around the habits of working crews rather than around software ideas. Each of us has stood in a gallery or on a floor when a schedule slipped, and that shapes what we make.
Learning from crews
Before we change a feature, we ask the people who use it on the floor. Floor managers tell us which screens they open at six in the morning and which they ignore. Audio and lighting crews explain how they label presets and how they hand over between shifts. Their answers decide what gets built first. We would rather make one task quicker for a whole crew than add a feature few will touch.
Keeping things calm
A studio under pressure needs fewer messages, not more. We design communication so that cue notes, call sheets and running orders sit in one place, and so that a change is visible to everyone who needs it. Nothing relies on someone remembering to phone round. This approach grew from watching live productions where one missed update cost several minutes in the gallery.
Staying close to clients
Every client has a named contact on our team, and questions are answered by the person who knows the subject. Rachel handles the relationship and direction, Daniel the equipment and lighting, Priya sound, and Tom running orders. When a crew asks for a change, we discuss it with them first and explain what we will and will not do.
