FAQ
Answers to the questions studio managers and producers ask most often before they get in touch.
Questions we hear often
Here are straightforward answers about what the platform covers and how we work with studios. If your question is not here, the contact page is the best way to reach us.
- Who is whisperra designed for?
- It is built for studio managers, producers and technical crews at newsrooms and live entertainment productions. Smaller studios use it to bring scattered notes together, and larger ones use it to keep several teams aligned. We discuss your set-up before suggesting how it might fit.
- What can the platform keep track of?
- It covers equipment and maintenance logs, camera movement plans, lighting plots and presets, sound settings, and running orders with call sheets. These sit together so crews do not switch between tools. We can talk through which parts matter most to your productions.
- Can it work alongside our newsroom systems?
- We offer newsroom workflow setup, which connects story planning with studio booking so bulletins pass smoothly to the floor. How that connection is arranged depends on what you already use. We look at this with you before agreeing any work.
- How do we start working with you?
- Send an enquiry through the contact page describing your studio and what you want to organise. We reply in writing, usually with a few questions, and then provide a written quotation. Work begins once you have confirmed it.
- How does pricing and payment work?
- Prices are listed on the Prices page, along with what each includes and what can change them. After a quotation or confirmation we send an invoice, which is paid by bank transfer. Nothing is bought through the website itself.
- Can crews learn the platform quickly?
- Most crews pick it up within a few shifts because the screens follow how studios already work. Tom and Priya can talk teams through running orders and sound planning. We keep explanations short and based on your own shows.
- What happens if we need to cancel?
- Cancellations and refunds follow our payment and refund policy, which sets out the steps in plain terms. Please read it before confirming a quotation. If your circumstances change, tell us in writing as early as you can.
- Do you support live productions on the day?
- Our focus is preparing and coordinating shows so the day itself runs calmly. Questions that arise are handled through the contact details on our site. We will tell you plainly what support is included in your quotation.
What to prepare before you get in touch
A short enquiry is enough to begin, but a little preparation helps us give you a useful reply. These notes explain what is worth gathering and what we do with it.
About your studio
Tell us how many studios you run, roughly how many shows are produced each week, and whether they are live or recorded. Mention the size of the crew on the floor and in the gallery. You do not need exact figures, because an honest description is more helpful than a polished one. This lets us suggest which parts of the platform suit you and which can wait until later.
About your equipment
A list of cameras, lenses, monitors and lighting you want to track is a good starting point, even if it is incomplete or lives in a spreadsheet. If maintenance records exist on paper, tell us that too. We can then explain how items and bookings would be organised and how much of the existing information can be carried across.
About your shows
Share a typical running order or call sheet if you have one, along with any camera move or lighting notes the crew already uses. Seeing how you work today helps us avoid asking you to change habits that function well. We keep what you send private and use it only to prepare our reply and quotation.
